Rebecca and Brian became best friends while they were students at Indiana University, and the rest is history! They dated for seven years before Brian got down on one knee in front of the Trevi Fountain in Rome! Looks like Rebecca’s wish from her toss of a coin came true!
They held their rehearsal dinner at City Winery in Chicago surrounded by family and friends.
Rebecca wore Danni by Made With Love Bridal. The lace detail complimented both the city and rustic themes of her wedding perfectly.
As with most large events, unexpected things happen! Rebecca said that their first look pictures took a little longer than expected, so the boys were waiting outside in the 85 degree heat for the bus to eventually show up!
The bride claimed the ceremony was one of her most memorable moments because her younger brother officiated their marriage and wrote everything on his own. Everyone was crying and laughing, and said it was one of the best ceremonies they had ever been to because it was so personal!
The bride had a vision right away for her wedding; she wanted succulents, peonies and lots of greenery. Rebecca’s Uncle is a landscape architect, so he grew over 200 succulents for her to plant in adorable individual pots.
She also wanted details of light pinks and jade green throughout the whole venue. There were farm tables with hues of peach, coral, sage and grey that added the perfect rustic touch.
Another one of her most memorable moments was, “dancing with everyone and my first dance with my husband. It is just so magical having all your favorite people in one place”.
Rebecca’s best advice for future brides is to hire a wedding coordinator. She said her wedding would not have come together without one and she would not been able to have had as much fun as she did on the actual day. “They took care of everything and I had the BEST NIGHT of my life”.
So, so happy for you Rebecca and Brian! It has been an absolute pleasure to have been a part of your special day!
