What could be more romantic than going from red carpet to white aisle? Sara and David met in 2012 at a glamorous red carpet event in Hollywood. After six months of dating the couple knew they wanted to spend the rest of their lives together. Like a scene out of a love story, David proposed to Sara on the top of a mountain under the moonlight.
A year and half later, the couple decided to tie the knot on April 26, 2014 at Sacred Heart Church. Sara and David had a beautiful afternoon ceremony in the church that the groom attended while growing up and always envisioned getting married in.
The flowers
For the springtime ceremony, the couple chose pastel floral arrangements. The cascading bridal bouquet the bride held while walking down the aisle was designed by Grand Florist and was modeled after the one that Diana, Princess of Wales, carried in her wedding to Prince Charles.
Her look
Internationally acclaimed designer Madeline Gardner designed the brides stunning wedding gown. She wore our very own Enchanted Atelier-Contessa Headband that complimented her long curls. The bride also wore beautiful Sara Gabriel-Josephine earrings covered in Swarovski stones that complimented the headband she chose and her dress. Sara’s hair and makeup was done by celebrity makeup artist Edgar Santos.
The reception
Following the ceremony, the newlyweds were whisked away in a Rolls Royce to the historical Lindley-Scott House, where the reception was held.
Earth Angel was selected as the song for the couple’s first dance. It was featured in the film Back to the Future, playing when Lorraine realizes she is going to spend the rest of her life with the George, as he kisses her for the first time on the dance floor. Sara and David both love the film Back to the Future.
Sara always thought that she would want that song as her first dance and to be kissed at the same point in the song that Lorraine was during the movie. On Sara and David’s special day that is exactly how it happened!
The four-tiered cake from Some Crust Bakery had a different flavor on each tier. All the Best Tunes DJ kept everyone dancing and entertained into the night, while Cutting Edge Video covered the action.
Instead of the traditional engagement photo session, the pair opted for a ‘day after’ shoot in Joshua Tree, a location dear to their hearts. Award-winning Callaway Gable Photography shot amazing images until sunset in the desert.
Sara and David’s special day was something that we expect to see in movies. We are so excited to see that fairytale love stories and weddings do come true in real life. This couple deserved a magical day and that is exactly what they had!
