Although, both Ashley and Jim had been raised in the same area of New York and had attended the same high school (but at different times), they actually met at Ashley’s parent’s lawn and garden store. They bonded immediately over their love for family and from there, the relationship blossomed.
After dating for 3 years, Jim (who’s a New York state trooper) took Ashley on a day trip to Ocean City with their two dogs, Jax and Charlie. Ashley was completely taken by surprise when Jim ended up on one knee asking her to marry him.
They decided to celebrate their love for one another on October 12, 2012 with friends and family in attendance (with those who couldn’t be there, attending in spirit) at the Crystal Springs Resort Grand Cascades Lodge in Hamburg, New Jersey.
It was a beautiful fall day, with only a few wisps of cloud on a bright blue sky. This day was meant for Ashley and Jim to say “I do.”
Ashley, looking absolutely gorgeous, is as calm and happy as any bride should be while she gets ready to marry the man of her dreams. The pretty little garter is the Isabella by La Gartier in ivory.
Ashley pinned both of her grandmother’s rings into the bustle to have them with her as she walked down the aisle.
A beautiful bridal party supports Ashley on this momentous occasion in burgundy bridesmaids dresses with breath-taking bouquets, perfect for a fall wedding. The blush tear drop earrings by Ti Adoro add to the luxurious colors that can be seen throughout the wedding.
Family was not in short supply. Ashley poses with her sister, her mother, and her mother-in-law who’s adorned with some lovely pearl earrings by Ti Adoro.
Ashley and Jim look so at ease together. It’s not a difficult thing to know that these two are a perfect fit. This moment, there’s nowhere else they would rather be.
Wedding party had a bit of fun together during the photo shoot. It’s an incredible feeling to share such a loving experience and knowing that others are there to enjoy it with you.
The family values that brought this couple together were highlighted in various ways throughout the ceremony and reception. From the rings pinned in the bustle, to the family participation, to this wonderful remembrance table for the relatives that weren’t able to witness their wedding. Not to mention, there were more stunning floral arrangements in bright fall colors done by family friends, Goshen florist.
An exquisite cake for an exquisite couple. Ashley and Jim’s family have been patrons of this bakery ever since they can remember. Being close friends of the owners, makes this cake all the more special, in addition to their parent’s wedding photos resting on either side of the cake.
The love that began in the lawn and garden shop, continues to bloom.
