Bella Bride Alison and her mom visited the salon on a rainy day in May. Alison selected Made With Love’s Harper gown, with the help of owner Andrea. They were delighted by Andrea’s “patient, kind, and knowledgeable” guidance in selecting her gown. Alison says she would recommend Bella Bleu Bridal to any bride-to-be because of the warm and easy-going shopping experience.
As soon as they started planning their February wedding, Alison and Brian knew that her family’s condo in Acapulco, Mexico would be the perfect place to start their forever, in the company of family and friends. Their sunset ceremony on the beach was backdropped by an orange and pink sky under an altar of bright, tropical flowers. The couple was surrounded by 140 guests, half of which traveled from the United States to join the celebration.
A soft breeze blew Alison’s Lea-Ann Belter “Matilde” veil in the wind as she walked down the aisle to “La Vie En Rose.” Tears were shed as Alison and Brian joined hands and read their vows to each other.
After their first photos as husband and wife, Alison and Brian met guests at their reception, also held on the beach. They treated guests to a live marimba, exotic-flavored margaritas, and delicious appetizers.
The couple shared their first dance and surprised guests with fireworks going off in the background. They added their own flair to the first dance by performing a salsa dance, too! The party continued after a dinner of local seafood, including coconut crispy fish in tamarind sauce, chocolate fondue, and crepes. Alison and Brian shared a sweetheart table where they greeted guests and sipped on Dom Pรฉrignon.ย
After toasts and speeches, more salsa dancing and fireworks lead to an all-night party! “We danced and drank the night away,” says Alison. The celebration included the bouquet and garter toss, a singalong to “Sweet Caroline,” being lifted up on chairs by family and friends, and a real-life tequila train. At 4 A.M., guests were treated to an after-party of breakfast chilaquiles. The bride described the evening as “a wonderful day full of joy, laughter and a natural energy that made everyone let loose and enjoy dancing under the stars on the sand all night long.” The setting was unique, yet had great meaning due to Alison’s childhood memories of the condo.ย
The weekend concluded the next morning with a “tornaboda,” or an after-after-party! Al pastor tacos were served by the pool, while a Mariachi played in the background.
Alison described the weekend as “magical” and said it was “filled with the energy that animates the world most – LOVE!”
