Kim and Ross met after college when they were set up by his cousin, who also happened to be her sorority “little sister”. They hung out one Halloween, but it still took about a year for them to really start getting serious. Once they took the plunge and officially started dating, they bonded over their love for travel. Since then, they have traveled the world together, including Toronto, Thailand, Washington DC, San Francisco, Greece, Italy, Argentina, England, Mexico City and more. In the Fall of 2017 they went on a driving trip through Northern Spain and somewhere between Bilbao and San Sebastian Ross popped the question!

Kim said this of her experience with Bella Bleu Bridal:
“I had a great experience with Bella Bleu. I was looking for dresses that I liked online and was having a lot of trouble. I finally found Made With Love brand and instantly fell in love with the Frankie dress. Bella Bleu was the first and only dress shop I went to. I tried Frankie on first and knew it was the dress for me. I think I put on a few more dresses for fun, but nothin compared. I left that same day with my dress and veil purchased! The experience was even more special because I was able to bring my sisters, mom and grandmother. My grandmother passed about a month after my appointment, but I am so happy I could share this with her as one of our last experiences together.”

Kim admits, she didn’t want to have a wedding. She wanted her and Ross to be married, but she wasn’t crazy about the big event that typically came with a marriage. They’d always had fun at weddings, but began to feel like they were all similar and more importantly, just not their style. So, when they decided to have a wedding, they agreed that they wanted it to feel different. They asked one of their good friends to officiate and opted for a venue that could allow for a circular, gathered ceremony. Some guests stood, others sat, but they all gathered with a glass of Prosecco to witness their marriage.

Kim and Ross wanted the reception to be all about the dancing. There were no table assignments for dinner, instead they had food stations for people to grab what they wanted and not skip a beat. Just as they planned, by the end of the night everyone was sweaty, out of breath, and pretty inebriated (probably due to the tequila shots served out of Himalayan Salt glasses halfway through the reception). Either way, their DJ “crushed it” and everyone had a blast!
