Semper Fi: KaLeigh + Ryan
Sometimes it takes time apart for people to realize just how much they mean to each other. Distance makes the heart grow fonder, and when Ryan Reidelbaugh left his high school friend KaLeigh for the Marine Corps, he realized there was something special between them. This spark was lit after he returned home from his first deployment. Their friendship soon ignited into a love that kept them together throughout the rest of his time in the Marine Corps and seeing their return back to the state of Illinois.

Running to The Altar: Nadia+Brian
“Hey honey, want to go for a run”? Most people’s reactions would probably be, “uh, no”.
But Nadia, who shared a passion for long-distance running with her boyfriend Brian, would have said yes on any other day. But on this day, Nadia just wasn’t feeling it. She had a headache, or at least she said she did. “One morning, he suggested we go for a run on the lakefront because we hadn’t done that in a while, but I tried to make excuses,” she said.
Once Brian finally dragged a reluctant Nadia out to the lakefront she put up a bit more of a fight. “Then I tried to say that we shouldn’t park at Navy Pier because it was too expensive,” she continued.
Nadia and Brian met while attending the University of Illinois in Champaign. The two of them had mutual friends and boasted a friendship of their own, until they both realized they wanted more. After he graduated, Brian faithfully waited for Nadia to finish college and the two of them then moved to the Chicago area. Continue reading

From Myspace to Ourspace: Scottie+Elizabeth
What are friends for? Letting you borrow their clothes during a I-have-nothing-to-wear-crisis? Yes. Taking you out for drinks when you’ve had a my-boss-didn’t-consider-me-for-the-promotion-bad day? Yes. Playing a part in introducing you to cute new friends? Definitely.
The game of six degrees of separation came to a close for Scottie and Elizabeth in 2005, when Scottie was visiting a friend in Dallas. That friend just so happened to be dating a friend of Elizabeth’s…ah fate!
The game of six degrees of separation came to a close for Scottie and Elizabeth in 2005, when Scottie was visiting a friend in Dallas. That friend just so happened to be dating a friend of Elizabeth’s…ah fate!
When the two met wedding bells weren’t immediately clamoring, “It wasn’t love at first sight but it didn’t take long,” said Elizabeth. Continue reading

From Website to Wedding Site: Lisa + Jacob
Sure there are plenty of fish in the sea, buthow long is it going to take to find the perfect one in an ocean full of flounders? We scoff at the online dating website ads we see on TV, but eventually failed dating and bars wear us down, and we secretly wonder if online dating would work. This tiny bit of speculation was enough to lure Jacob and Lisa in to fishing the electronic way. What if Mr. or Miss Right is on there right now waiting for my message? That seemed to be exactly the case for Jacob and Lisa, who lived in the same state together, twice, but had never met. Both originally from New York, moved to Georgia around the same time; Jacob in 2008 and Lisa in 2007. As close as they kept getting to each other fate perhaps needed a bit of a nudge (or a click) to finally bring them together. Continue reading

Only about 75 miles from Chicago, this is the Midwest’s own Napa Valley! The country-chic theme of this wedding can be seen in many of the details from the lanterns adorned with flowers and the wedding pies to Katherine’s amazing boots! Continue reading
A Home Run Wedding in Vegas: Chad + Syndal
You already know that Bella Bleu is all about the sparkle and glam so when we were invited to accessorize Syndal Gordon for her “bling-ed out” wedding to Washington National’s pitcher Chad Gaudin, we were all ears. A Wedding that Rocks: Kristin + Ray
Traditional weddings have a special place in my heart. Emphasizing the simplicity and real meaning behind a wedding is something I respect very much and I admire those who choose this route. Kristin and Raymond embodied a traditional ceremony to the T in their hometown of Philadelphia, PA. The two met through a mutual friend in 2006 and haven’t looked back since. Here’s a look at their gorgeous day thanks to photos by The Pros Photography.
